"Nude, 2019" Original oil figure painting on canvas
This 18 by 24 inch oil painting was completed during a workshop at Anderson Ranch I attended in 2019.
This was one of the first times I had used the "alla prima" technique of painting--i.e., the "wet-on-wet" technique. This created a buttery finish and creamy paint texture that harmonizes colors between the background and the foreground.
